Important Financial Aid Workshop for Graduating Seniors – Complete your FAFSA Application!
On Tuesday, February 12th at 9 am, a college representative will visit Pivot San Diego to answer questions about how to pay for college and help you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application. The FAFSA is the standard form that all U.S. colleges use to determine your financial aid. So regardless of whether you’re going to a community college or to a four-year college next year, you will probably need to fill out this form, and this may be the only opportunity to have an expert to guide you through the process.
For students who plan to attend Palomar College next year, you will need to fill out the FAFSA application in order to qualify for Palomar Promise, which offers one year of FREE course enrollment and related registration fees for first-time college students, regardless of income or GPA. Other California community colleges have similar programs and also use this same application.
The only thing you will need to bring in order to complete this application is your parents/guardians’ 2017 tax returns. For parents who are not comfortable sending their tax returns to school with their child, we encourage you to attend the workshop and fill out the FAFSA with or for your child.
Please confirm your attendance at this very important workshop by emailing Gail Gonzalez Coloyan at firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to email Gail Gonzalez Coloyan with any questions as well. We hope to see all graduating seniors and/or their parents on February 12th!
