Dear Pivot Families and Staff,

With Winter Break just around the corner, I hope you all enjoy spending time with loved ones, unplug and unwind, and reflect on the year that 2020 has been.

If there is one thing that 2020 has taught us, it is the importance of connectedness – whether in-person, physically distanced or virtual. Although spending time with family and friends may look different this holiday season, I hope that you can take advantage of this downtime to really connect with those you love and recharge.

While I’m sure we’ll all be cheering as we put the year 2020 behind us, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride and gratitude as I look back on how our Pivot Family has navigated the year. You have proven what it truly means to excel at distance learning, as you continue to learn and teach in an online-only format. You have shown your creativity, creating and participating in new virtual programs to stay connected and keep learning fun. And you have demonstrated your resilience and strength every step of the way, adapting to an environment that seemed to sometimes vary on a day-to-day basis.

I could not be prouder than I am this year to call myself a member of the Pivot Family. Thank you so much to our students, families, teachers, and staff for all you do. We are moving forward, making a difference, and learning, together.

Have a wonderful Winter Break and joyous holiday season.

Jayna
