We are excited to introduce you to our newest Pivot staff member Ana Martinez, who joined the Pivot family as our new Community Liaison and Foster/Homeless Liaison at the start of this school year. In this dual role, Ana plays a vital role in connecting our schools with local resources, organizations and families to ensure that we meet the diverse needs of our students. She is busy building partnerships with many organizations in our communities.

With over a decade of experience in education as both a counselor and administrative assistant, Ana brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the challenges many students face when their unique needs are not met.

“My goal is to ensure that every student feels seen, supported and empowered to succeed,” shared Ana.

In her role, Ana is responsible for building connections between Pivot and local organizations, businesses and community leaders. She actively plans workshops, facilitates training and advocates for vital resources that benefit our students and families.

One of Ana’s primary objectives is to enhance community engagement. By strengthening partnerships and representing Pivot at local events, she aims to increase Pivot’s visibility and foster a strong sense of community belonging, which opens the door to additional resources. Ana is already making strides in this area, coordinating visits from city officials and state representatives to our campuses. These visits not only underscore our commitment to real-world learning but also provide students with opportunities to engage directly with local decision-makers.

Ana is particularly drawn to Pivot’s focus on accommodating different learning styles. She sees it as a reflection of our dedication to embracing unique educational approaches tailored to each student. “It’s about understanding and addressing individual needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all solution,” she explained.

We are thankful to have Ana on the team and look forward to the positive impact she will bring to the Pivot community!
