Pivot Charter School San Diego opened its doors to San Marcos Deputy Mayor Sharon Jenkins on October 24, offering a unique glimpse into the school’s interactive and supportive learning environment. During her visit, Deputy Mayor Jenkins observed firsthand how Pivot fosters student engagement through both creative activities and academic support.

“We were honored to welcome Deputy Mayor Jenkins to our school,” said Ana Martinez, Pivot Charter Schools’ Community Liaison. “It was a valuable opportunity for her to see our education model in action, where students are encouraged to learn through hands-on experiences at all grade levels.”

During her visit, Deputy Mayor Jenkins observed elementary students engaged in arts and crafts and saw Pivot’s Education Coordinators supporting upper-level students with their assignments, reflecting Pivot’s commitment to personalized academic support.

“It was inspiring to observe both the energy of the students and the commitment of the staff,” Deputy Mayor Jenkins shared. “Seeing the students so engaged in their creative and academic work showcased the value of a nurturing and personalized learning environment.”
